Starbucks’ New Summer Menu Includes an Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink and Unicorn Cake Pop
Maybe we’ve become spoiled, but we expect at least one new Starbucks item at the start of every season. Luckily, the coffee retailer hasn’t let us down, and with summer on the way, there are some refreshing and tasty new treats hitting the menu. Better hit the drive-thru, because Starbucks’ summer menu is available beginning today!
Just before spring 2020, Starbucks unveiled two fruity coconut milk-based beverages, the Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink and Iced Golden Ginger Drink. We can say from firsthand experience that they were delicious, and now Starbucks has had a third variety to the lineup.
The Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink combines flavors of guava, passionfruit, pineapple, and ginger. The pastel pink drink is hand-shaken with coconut milk and ice to complete the creamy beverage. Once you inevitably fall in love with it, it can become part of your daily routine, because it is a permanent nondairy option on the menu.
Starbucks has lunch covered as well, with the new Grilled Chicken & Hummus Protein Box, which is a permanent menu option. It comes with grilled chicken breast, roasted red pepper hummus, naan bread, baby carrots, and snap peas. With 22 grams of protein, it’s a healthier option when you’re on the go. This is the latest Protein Box to join the lineup, which already includes the Egg & Cheese Protein Box, Cheese & Fruit Protein Box, PB&J Protein Box, Chipotle Wrap Protein Box, and Smoked Turkey Protein Box.
Now that you have your drink and lunch covered, you need to end it on a sweet note, right? The new Unicorn Cake Pop is just as magical as it sounds! It consists of vanilla cake with confetti sprinkles that is shaped into a unicorn head. It’s dipped in white chocolatey icing and complete with detailing. You’ll only be able to get your hands on this treat for a limited time.
Oh, and just in case you’ve been wondering if Starbucks would be bringing back its S’mores Frappuccino for year number five, the answer is yes! The limited-edition drink starts with marshmallow-infused whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce at the bottom of the cup. Then, it’s topped with a blend of vanilla, coffee, milk and ice, and topped with more marshmallow whipped cream and graham cracker crumble. OK, now the summer menu is complete!
