Starbucks is releasing Black and White Mocha drinks today — get them while you can
Every year, our top New Year’s resolution is to drink less caffeine. But Starbucks has made that promise nearly impossible to keep with the release of their Black and White Mocha Collection. Starbucks is specifically releasing three new holiday beverages on December 27th at participating locations, and each drink sounds more delicious than the last.
One of the downsides to the New Year is the fact that holiday drinks disappear from Starbucks’s menu. But now, we can thankfully turn that frown upside down and indulge in these celebratory “black-tie” drinks throughout the new year (while supplies last, of course).
The first drink on the New Year’s Starbucks menu is the Black and White Mocha. This beautiful new beverage starts with Starbucks’s signature espresso roast poured over “a silky swirl of white chocolate and dark mocha, which melts into a wonderfully rich concoction,” the Starbucks press release states.
Then, steamed milk is added to cut through the richness and the drink is topped with whipped cream chocolate “sequins” that are added to resemble a black tie. You also have the choice of ordering this drink hot or iced. Both are equally divine.
This is the kind of black-tie event we want to attend!
Next on the docket is the Black and White Hot Cocoa. Dark mocha sauce and white chocolate mocha sauce is mixed with steamed milk “to create rich swirls.” Then it gets the same fancy treatment as the Mocha — whipped cream and black-tie “sequins.”
Finally, we have the Starbucks Black and White Frappuccino blended beverage. This guy is a “delicious combination of dark mocha sauce, white chocolate mocha sauce, Frappuccino roast coffee, milk and ice blended together.”
It then gets dressed up in its whipped cream and “sequins” before heading to the party in your mouth.
We have never been more ready to step into the new year. Forget kicking the caffeine habit — our new New Year’s resolution is to try all three of these Starbucks Black and White drinks over and over and over again!
