Starbucks Reserve Launches New Hot Honey DrinksStarbucks

Drizzled on pizza or a chicken sandwich, hot honey has infiltrated kitchens and stores everywhere. Naturally, it had to make its way to Starbucks.

Today, the Hot Honey Espresso Martini and Hot Honey Affogato are hitting Starbucks Reserve Roasteries and stores in New York, Chicago, and Seattle. Both drinks feature wildflower honey that's infused with premium chili peppers.

If you don't live near one of these Starbucks Reserve stores or you want to know what to expect before trying them yourself, here's a rundown of the espresso martini and affogato:

The Starbucks Reserve Hot Honey Espresso Martini doesn't just have the added hot honey, but also includes Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, in addition to Starbucks Reserve Espresso, Kalak Single Malt Vodka, and vanilla syrup. It's topped with a sweet and spicy cold foam and black sesame seeds. And if you're skeptical of the spice, it's not too hot. The cold foam is a good counterbalance.

I forgot how much I love a good affogato until I tasted the Starbucks Reserve Hot Honey Affogato. In addition to the vanilla gelato and Starbucks Reserve Espresso, the new creation has Scrappy's Orange and Firewater Bitters, hot honey, and an Amarena cherry. It's more sweet, with just a hint of spice.

And if you want to drizzle hot honey on any Starbucks Reserve food items, you can add it to any Princi foods like Pancetta Egg & Avocado Toast or Margherita Pizza.

What do you think of the hot honey and coffee combo?
