Starbucks Just Released Its 2017 Holiday Cup

There are so many things to look forward to when the holidays approach: spending time with friends and family, eating delicious dishes, decorating the tree, and of course for coffee lovers—Starbucks holiday cups. This year is extra special because it’s their 20th anniversary.

To celebrate, the coffee retailer is launching the first color-in holiday cups with an inspiring message for the season. That’s right, your Starbucks cup has become a coloring book of sorts. The design features hands holding coffee, a nod to previous holiday cups, and other seasonal accents like presents and ribbons. You can customize it however you like—decorate it in neon hues, or keep it simple with a red and green palette. It’s not a surprising move for the retailer as last year’s cups featured 13 original designs created by customers.

“This year’s cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations,” Leanne Fremar, executive creative director for Starbucks, said in a press release. “We love the idea of everyone making this year’s cup their own.”

Your caffeinated beverage will also come with a special message (and the theme of this year’s holiday campaign)—hot drinks will have cup sleeves that say “Give Good.”

“Giving good can be as small as someone opening the door for you, or recognizing the people that enrich your life – your child’s teacher, a caregiver, a family friend,” Fremar says. “The holidays are a time to celebrate all the good we give to each other and our community.”
