Starbucks Introduces New Merry Mint White Mocha Holiday Drink With Half-Off Deal
It’s shaping up to be a very happy holiday for caffeine lovers. In addition to it's new Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai drink, announced last month, Starbucks surprised its fans on Wednesday with the introduction of another brand new holiday beverage, per People. Sweetening the deal, the chain’s Merry Mint White Mocha will be sold at half-price each Thursday throughout December. The special Thursday discount also applies to the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, and all other drinks on Starbucks’ menu.
Exclusively available in the Starbucks app, the Merry Mint White Mocha is comprised of several shots of espresso mixed with milk and white chocolate sauce. It’s layered with peppermint chocolate cream cold foam and finished with a handful of chocolate curls over the top.
Starbucks announced earlier this month that it would be discounting all of its drinks by 50 percent each Thursday for the rest of the year. The coupon will be made available for all rewards members in the Starbucks app on December 14, Dec. 21, and Dec. 28. Each member is entitled to one half-price drink on those days between noon and 6 p.m.

As for the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai, it’s made from oat milk and black tea that’s been infused with cinnamon and other chai spices, finished with a dusting of pumpkin spice. The drink is also available hot, if you’re not feeling an iced beverage this time of year. People described the drink as tasting “like a gingerbread house in a cup,” but specified that it “isn't too overpowering…Rich but not too dense, the iced drink is the quintessential (yet subtle!) holiday drink.”
Both the Merry Mint White Mocha and Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai are served in the chain’s signature holiday cups. This year represents the first time since 2021 that Starbucks has introduced new holiday mugs.
Starbucks is offering another irresistible promotion along with their half-priced Thursdays. On weekends throughout the rest of the year, the chain is giving away a free 8 oz. hot chocolate with every grande drink order. This offer will be available each Saturday and Sunday through December 31, and is limited to one beverage per order.
