Starbucks is known for their elaborate coffee beverages, refreshing shaken teas, and other treats we rely on for an afternoon pick-me-up. The latest drink to hit their menu is the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher, and we tasted it for ourselves.

The magenta drink is the 10th Refresher added to the Starbucks portfolio. Many of them are pink already - including the Ombré Pink Drink, Strawberry Acai Lemonade, and Very Berry Hibiscus Lemonade - but this one just might be the most Instagram-worthy of them all.

We tried the Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers ahead of its launch, and it tastes more like dragon fruit (aka pitaya) than mango - which is a good thing in my book. It’s not too sweet and really tastes like a tropical escape, all for under 100 calories for a grande. The best part about the drink, though, is the chunks of dragon fruit you’re left with at the end. At that point, the fruit has soaked up a bit of the beverage and makes for a nice bite.

As with all Starbucks drinks, you can customize them to your liking. Order the Mango Dragonfruit Refreshers as a Dragon Drink, and the water will be swapped out for coconut milk. It basically tastes like a smoothie, but with a thinner consistency. And it’s goooood.

If you ask us, all this drink is missing is a little vodka or rum to create a summer cocktail. And no one is stopping us from doing it - so, weekend, here we come!

The Mango Dragonfruit Refresher is available at Starbucks across the United States and Canada beginning on June 19, and is a permanent item on the menu.
