This Starbucks Cookie Butter Chai Tastes Like All Your Favorite Trader Joe’s Buys
As the weather heats up, you're likely looking for new iced drinks to try out as opposed to your typical hot coffees or teas. Luckily, at Starbucks, there are so many ways to customize your drinks (the brand estimates there are more than 170,000 drinks you can make) and Totally the Bomb figured out how to turn a classic chai into a sweet Cookie Butter Chai.
Like all of the other menu hacks by Totally the Bomb, the drinks are part of the Starbucks "Secret Menu" rather than the actual menu in stores. That means to order, you have to ask for specific drink add-ins to get your desired taste. For the Cookie Butter Chai, you'll only have to ask for a couple of additions.
You'll start by ordering a grande Iced Chai Tea Latte with soy milk and then you'll simply ask for two pumps of brown sugar syrup and brown butter topping. The final drink will taste like chai and cookie butter, making it pretty reminiscent of some of your Trader Joe's cult-favorite items.
Keep in mind that it's important to let your barista know exactly what kind of drink you're going for and they're always able to help answer questions if you want clarity on what size drink to get, how many pumps of extra flavor you should ask for, and more.
