The Star Wars: The Force Awakens world premiere was last night, and the stars came out in full force with intergalactic beauty looks. Many of them, from heavy gold eye makeup to Princess Leia braids, are not everyday beauty looks you can steal for the office, but we’re offering a way to celebrate Star Wars-inspired beauty on your own — with a manicure. Here are two exclusive Star Wars manicures, tutorials provided by Greg and Habib Salo, co-founders of Caption Polish. You have until Friday to master these nails, young Jedi.

Galactic Empire Nails

  1. Cleanse the nails of any dust or oil.

  2. Polish a single thin coat of base coat on the nails of both hands.

  3. Polish a single thin coat of black polish on the all nails. Apply a second thin coat of the same color. Allow to dry.

  4. Use polish colors in a dark blue, yellow, pink and gold in random brush strokes on the pinkie, middle and thumbnails.

  5. Apply a white glitter polish over these three nails. (They used Caption Effect If It’s Not One Thing It’s Another.)

  6. On the ring finger, use a pure white polish and a dark Blue polish with a small art brush to paint the Death Star.

  7. On the index finger, use a pure white polish and a dark Green polish (Caption Better Luck next time, for example) with a small art brush to paint a fighter jet.

  8. Polish a single thin layer of top coat on all nails. Allow two minutes to dry.

  9. To accelerate drying time, they recommend using Caption Drying Drops. Apply 1-2 drops per nail after allowing the top coat to dry as instructed above.
