'Star Wars: The Bad Batch' To Return for Third and Final Season
On the fourth day of the Star Wars Celebration 2023 event in London, Lucasfilm revealed that Disney's Star Wars: The Bad Batch series will return for a third and final season. The title, which centers on the Clone Wars, follows a legion of experimental, skilled clone troopers who escape their army groups to establish their own mercenary units.
During a panel, led by executive producers Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Athena Portillo, an in-room trailer provided a first look at what to expect from the forthcoming installment.
In it, Emperor Palpatine (voiced by Ian McDiarmid) visits Dr. Royce Hemlock (Jimmi Simpson), the leader of the Empire's clone division, on Mount Tantiss. “It is imperative that this facility remain secure,” Palpatine says. “Your brilliance is a great asset to this Empire.” The Bad Batch clan appears as Hunter calls out Omega's (Michelle Ang's) abduction, “Omega’s been waiting for us. I’m not making her wait another day.” Elsewhere, the trailer included glimpses of several worlds and characters, like Republic commandos, Rex and myriad massive creatures.
