'Star Trek' Adult Coloring Books Debut This Fall

From Best Products

Great news, Trekkies, Trekkers, and those are just beginning their fandom journeys: Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation adult coloring books will be in stores on October 19 and they are available for pre-order now.

Both adult coloring books include original artwork, and the pages are on thick, heavyweight paper measuring 10 by 10 inches. Each book will retail for $14.99.

As for the contents, Dark Horse Books is keeping the details a bit of a mystery. What they will reveal is that both versions feature "45 stunningly detailed, black and white images to color in any way you choose," but is there a charming bowl of gagh in the Next Generation version? Or perhaps Barclay in his spider form? And while we're thrilled that the cover for the original series' coloring book includes both the original Number One and Janice Rand, do the contents include poor doomed Edith Keeler, or the hippies from "The Way to Eden"? We just don't know!

What we do know is that we're glad both the original series and Next Gen are getting their own adult coloring books. (We're over the Orion green girl and will be bringing out the light blue shades to make everyone an Andorian. Or maybe a burnt-peach Kazon. Which makes us wonder: Will there be Voyager or Deep Space Nine ones to come?)
