For nearly a century the Grand Ole Opry has been the ultimate stage to the world’s greatest country music. Legends like Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Jeannie Seely, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash have performed and made history on its stage.

And this year, fans around the world can experience Christmas at Music City's beloved mecca without leaving home. The country music special, Christmas at the Opry will air Dec 7 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Performed and recorded before a live audience on Oct. 3, the two-hour program features classic Christmas songs and is hosted by country legend Wynonna Judd.

No stranger to performing holiday songs, Wynonna’s Classic Christmas and Christmas Time with the Judds albums are go-to records for many. Almost a decade ago, she even performed A Simpler Christmas Tour in 2014.

“It’s the best and worst time of year for some, but for others, people are getting married and having children. A lot of the guys in my crew are having babies. It’s a real mixture….,” Wynonna told Billboard in 2014. She lost her own mother Naomi in 2022. “I can feel all this love, and it being a wonderful time of year for so many, but I can also feel the loss.”
