Spy Kids Star Daryl Sabara Proposed to Meghan Trainor for Her Birthday… and She Said Yes!
Meghan Trainor’s all about that… ring! The Four star now has *just* the someone to sing her song “Dear Future Husband” to, as her boyfriend of a year and half, Spy Kids’ Daryl Sabara, has just proposed for her 24th birthday!
The singer shared the sweet moment with her fans on Instagram, posting a vid (courtesy of Ryan Trainor) of Sabara, 25, down on one knee in the middle of a lit-up tunnel. The shocked star covers her teary face with her hands and embraces her man in a hug and kiss before being joined by a group of their friends and family members waiting to congratulate the happy couple.
“I SAID YESSSSS!!!!” she wrote. “For my 24th birthday, the love of my life @darylsabara made all of my dreams come true. He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I’m still in shock! I’ve never been this happy. Thank you Daryl, my family and friends for making me feel like a real princess.”
Sabara wrote an equally sweet message for his bride-to-be, posting the same video along with the words, “Happy birthday to my soulmate. Thank you for changing my life forever and thank you for saying yes! You are the most beautiful fiancé in the world. I love you @meghan_trainor.”
The love fest didn’t end there, with Trainor taking to social media once more to post a gallery of her and her actor beau’s cutest moments, writing, “I’m so happy it’s you @darylsabara, I knew it from the moment I met you.”
That moment came in July 2016, when they were introduced by the musician’s friend, Chloé Grace Moretz. As Trainor told Chelsea Handler back in October, “I asked everyone I met since day one, ‘Find me a boyfriend!’… Chloé Grace Moretz is a friend of mine, and day one of meeting her, I was like, ‘You know anybody that I could date? Or love? Whatever!’ and she’s like, ‘I know the nicest guy in the world, Daryl, and you should meet him.’ I was like, ‘Daryl? Okay.”
