I hate the cold. I know, a weird comment from a girl who grew up in Ohio and willingly moved to New York City. But as the years go by, I'm realizing I really, truly do not like winter. In fact, I go into total hibernation mode (seasonal depression is REAL, fam).

So recently, I decided I couldn't wait for spring-and all those Saturday mornings boozy brunching it with my best friends-to get here, so I left for a tropical getaway to Antigua. The Caribbean sun, white sandy beaches, and insanely blue water were the perfect cure for my seasonal blues...and the ideal eye candy my Instagram feed needed. I mean, why else do you go on vacation? JK. (Not really.)

I stayed at the Blue Waters Resort, which is right on the ocean, and everything from the lobby to the view from my room was unbelievable. The hardest part of the trip? Trying not to be That Girl and flood my feed with endless vacation snaps. Here, the six most photogenic experiences in Antigua.

Book Now Blue Waters Resort

This restaurant literally sits on the edge of a cliff, and if you have time for a ~leisurely~ meal, the tasting menu is so worth it. (BTW, add on a wine pairing-you're on vacation!) Everything is prepared in-house, and the seafood is line- or hand-caught-meaning the fish you're eating for lunch was probably caught that morning. Hell yeah. Snap a pic of the ocean view from your table before wandering off to a daybed or the infinity pool by the bar.

Antigua has 365 beaches, and I'd be mad if you didn’t strike a pose on at least one of them with the 50-shades-of-blue Caribbean Ocean in the background. (Just go in the morning or before sunset to avoid the crowds.) After, grab a drink at Carolyn's, a restaurant on the Blue Waters Resort property. Drinks, like the Tropical Lover-made with vodka, rum, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and simple syrup-perfectly match the water in the background. Total Insta bait, amirite?

One of the villas you can stay at when you visit Blue Waters Resort is Rock Cottage. It’s a secluded, private space with ocean views-and it's got a private infinity pool overlooking the water. It can host up to 10 people (girls trip, anyone??). After running it past the resort, I was able to stop by (nobody was staying there at the time) just as the sun was making its way down in the sky. Be sure to snap of pic in front of the sunset!

Blue Water has a spa on-site that offers everything from a Swedish massage to hot stone therapy (JIC you’re not already relaxed enough). I enjoyed a 60-minute energizing and detoxifying renewal scrub-it was a much-needed recharge before going back to snapping pics. There’s an infinity pool (yes, another one) in the spa area-after you finish your treatment, go ahead and take an Insta over there.

If you need a different beach to lie on for the day (same), Green Island, a small island off the eastern coast of Antigua, is just a boat ride away from Blue Waters. It’s a great place to snorkel and, if you're lucky, see some turtles. There are so many photo opportunities, either on the shore or in the water, so go ham and take all the pics.

One of my favorite spots on the entire resort was Veronica’s Bar. It’s right on the beach, so you've got the dopest views of the Caribbean. Relax with one of their signature cocktails, like the Antigua Mama (which has *two* types of rum, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice) during the day, or attend a wine tasting in the evening. Grab some wine and take a classic #drinkintheair pic with the ocean in the background.
