Spotify Wrapped Is Finally Here to Tell You What Songs You've Been Obsessed With This Year

Happy Spotify Wrapped Day to all who celebrate.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! No, not Christmas—Spotify Wrapped.

The most highly anticipated release of the holiday season dropped today, Nov. 30, so get ready to see nothing else across your social feeds for the next several days.

For those who listen to Spotify a reasonable amount, it's a fun little insight into your music preferences. For those who listen an excessive amount, it can feel a little too targeted to see everything laid out in front of you.

Find out how many different genres you dabbled in, from the typical pop to neo-mellow and alt-z, and compare your favorite with your friends!

Learn which song you hyperfixated on the most, and how many times total you streamed it (how embarrassing; do we hear anything higher than 2,100?).

You'll also find out your top five songs and artists of the year, plus your listening personality, a la Myers–Briggs.

This is *our* Super Bowl.

Outside of your own, personal Wrapped details, Spotify also shared several worldwide listening statistics. For example, several 2022 trends found their way into listeners' habits.

Little Miss Trend of the Summer caused an almost 1,400 percent increase in user-generated "Little Miss" playlists.

The viral Coastal Grandma aesthetic led to a 660% increase in user-generated playlists related to the vibe, with tracks like "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" by Natalie Cole and "My Girl" by The Temptations frequently included.

And, of course, Stranger Things had an impact, sending streams of Kate Bush's 1985 hit "Running Up That Hill" up by 8,700 percent and causing it to chart around the world.

So it's no surprise to find that the newly (re)discovered single was the most-streamed throwback of the year.
