"Myself," the opener of his self-titled debut mixtape, is a strange compelling blend; it floats in a paranoid drug haze, but with a production style that has a distinct 64-bit vibe to it, and oddly recalls the iconic snow levels of your favorite old Nintendo 64 games.
"Galway Girl" by Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran might wield a guitar and have a boyish face, but he makes his best music when he's out on the town having a good time. "Galway Girl" is a tale of such a night, as the uptempo ditty sees the singer trying his hardest-and failing-to charm a woman out at the bar, all in a charming, half-rap cadence.

For the opening minute, "Runaway" has all the warmth one would expect of a tropical house jam-but when the bass drops, it's a Champagne bottle popping in reverse, a signature of the popular EDM subgenre, future bass. The simple lyrical message of running away for love fits the song's exuberant vibe.

Almost six full years after their last release, the Fleet Foxes return with a double single that fans have been anxiously anticipating. The song's first half brings back the rustic choral sound for which the band's been known since their 2008 debut, but its second half is a sweeping, atmospheric soundscape that'll probably be wafting through many a coffee shop this spring.

Teenage singer Daya scored a few major hits last year, including the Chainsmokers' Top 10 tune, "Never Let You Down." The Pittsburgh singer is back-this time with Gryffin and Illenium-on "Feel Good," another airy, lighthearted EDM-pop song that showcases her ear for production as much as her own singing talents.

Last year, Brooklyn rapper Desiigner seemingly came out of nowhere with his number one hit, "Panda," but if you do a YouTube deep dive, you'll quickly uncover a lot of his past work with fellow Brooklyn up-and-comers. One of those was a rapper by the name of Phresher, who's got a hit of his own brewing in this woozy and off-kilter track, "Wait a Minute," featuring the headline-making Remy Ma.

"I did my makeup in somebody else's car / we ordered different drinks at the same bars," sings Lorde on the debut single off her follow-up to 2013's breakthrough album, Pure Heroine. With its pointed lyrics and echoing hook, "Green Light" appropriately announces the singer's return to the spotlight.
"American Teen" by Khalid
Lil Yachty ran away with the title "King of the Teens" last year, and now we have 19-year-old singer Khalid naming his debut album American Teen. The album's title track is an elegant '80s pastiche in which he sings of the wide-eyed wonder that still lives in the youth of America.
