Sporty Spice & the Entire Beckham Clan Sang Victoria’s Praises at Glamour’s Women of the Year

From girl power to female empowerment, Victoria Beckham’s expansive and varied career has been all about the ladies — and a few really special men. At the 2015 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday night where the former singer, fashion designer, philanthropist, and mother was presented with an award, she — and a few friends and ridiculously cute family members — made it abundantly clear why she deserved the award.

In a short film, Eva Longoria, Sporty Spice (also formerly known as Mel C.), Anna Wintour, and David Beckham sing (not the to the tune of “Spice Up Your Life”) Victoria’s praises. “She’s done so much charity work, she’s a wonderful parent, she’s a great friend, her business is thriving and I think the thing that threads all of this together is her energy, she never stops,” her former girl group member said.

Her four kids and husband, who couldn’t be at the event, also sent a special message to mum. Brooklyn, as the eldest, kicked things off with the rest following in chronological order. Romeo said: “Congratulations, Mummy. You definitely deserve this award. Oh, one more thing: Can you please make kids’ clothes?" Cruz then added, "You’re my mummy of the year: not just this year but every year!” Harper kept things simple with “I love you!”

After the video streamed, the lights went dark on the adorableness, and then Brooklyn appeared like a mirage in real life and took to the stage to steal the honor of presenting the award to his mother from model Carolyn Murphy. "We’re all so proud of you, and I’m so excited to be with you tonight to present you with this award,“ the 16-year-old said. "I love you."

To that, one of the many women of the hour took to the stage in a red floor-length dress of her own design with a tight bodice, zipper running down the entire length of the back, and multiple criss-crossing skinny straps. "Running a business, my work with UNAIDS and most importantly, being a mum, wouldn’t be possible without David,” she said of her former soccer player husband. “Not only is he the most incredible father, but he’s supportive and someone who loves and inspires me every single day.” But she also touched on her personal motivation: “It started with the Spice Girls and girl power and I want to send that same message to women through my collections,” she said. “I want to support, empower, and really make women feel like the best versions of themselves.”
