From Sponsored Skateboarder to Fashion Photographer: Brain Floss with Andrew Arthur in NYC

Photographer Andrew Arthur grew up in Oceanside, California amid some of the best skaters that went on to become pros. His skateboarding journey got him to the amateur ranks, but then his career changed paths and he found a groove in fashion photography. Ten years later, Andrew is living and working in New York City, but still skates and is very much tapped into the New York scene. His new photo project, that will culminate in a book, utilizes a sun bounce setup popularized by Peter Lindbergh that Andrew is putting his own twist on.

On a sunny day in September, we met up with Andrew, Karim Callender and a full photoshoot squad at Tompkins Square Park to knock out the first of many shots for Andrew's new project. Come along.
