Splinter Removal with a Syringe?
The Doctors weigh in on the story of a British mom reportedly removing a splinter with the use of a pediatric medicine syringe.
The mom claimed that she was able to remove the splinter by covering it with the hole in the bottom of the clean syringe and then pull it out of the skin.
While this might seem easy, The Doctors recommend using tweezers to remove a splinter as they fear you could easily push the object further into the skin.
They note that if you or your child has a splinter that you cannot remove or if the skin around it is warm, red or accompanied by pus, to seek medical attention, as it could be infected.
