The “Come, Follow Me” lesson for the week of April 22 is based on Mosiah 1-3, which is found in the Book of Mormon. This lesson focuses on the teachings of King Benjamin and the powerful example he set for his people.

At Faith Lutheran Church in La Grande, the sermon during the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, April 28, will focus on John 15:1-8, in which Jesus explains that "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser" (verse 1). It is a great blessing and honor to abide in Jesus Christ and a great danger not to abide with him.

Faith Lutheran will be having a "Fellowship Retreat: Celebrating Our History" on April 26 from 3-6 p.m. and April 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who attend will organize pictures and documents into notebooks and scrapbooks. The announcement called this "a wonderful opportunity for fellowship" and a way to learn about the history of Faith Lutheran Church.
