Spirit's Valentine's Day Sale Has Fares to Florida, Las Vegas and More Starting at $28

The sale ends on Feb. 16.

A discount airline is looking to play matchmaker between travelers and low-cost fares.

Spirit Airlines' Valentine's Day fare sale has discounted flights to cities across the country starting at $28 for members of Spirit’s Saver$ Club, and $40 for non-members. To take advantage of the deals, travelers can make reservations on Spirit’s website between Feb. 13 at 10:00 am through Feb. 16 at 11:59 pm EST.

The fare sale is valid for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between Feb. 20 through March 18 as well as from April 17 through May 16.

The Spirit Saver$ Club is a paid subscription that provides discounts on airfares, bag fees, priority boarding, and more. The program costs $69.95 annually. 



Travel + Leisure spotted one-way deals to popular spring-break destinations including:

  • Dallas to Orlando - $28 member, $40 non-member

  • Detroit to Miami - $40 member, $43 non-member

  • Indianapolis to Fort Lauderdale - $28 member, $40 non-member

  • Memphis to Las Vegas - $28 member, $40 non-member

  • Salt Lake City to Los Angeles - $28 member, $40 non-member

The fare sale prices are only for the base fare, and include most taxes and fees, however add-ons such as checked luggage can be purchased for additional cost.  

“Love is in the air so this Valentine’s day and we want to make it easier for our Guests that plan to reunite with loved ones, or make new memories with their partner, family, and friends this Valentine’s Day,” Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Guest Experience, Brand & Communications Lania Rittenhouse said in a statement shared with T+L. 

In addition to the paid Spirit Saver$ Club, Spirit also has a free loyalty program, aptly named Free Spirit, where travelers can earn loyalty points and earn status for additional benefits with the airline. 

Spirit Airlines recently reported performance for the holiday travel season in their fourth quarter earnings report. The airline had on-time performance of 76.8 percent, and their aircraft were 80.1 percent full.
