Spirit's Holiday Sale Has Flights Starting at Just $42 — but You'll Have to Book Fast

The sale ends on Thursday.

Get into the holiday spirit with Spirit Airlines’ flight sale that has trips across the country starting at just $42.

The sale, which must be booked by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 21, is valid on travel from Jan. 9, 2024, through Feb. 14, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. The sale is available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and, as a holiday bonus, has no blackout dates.

Passengers who are members of Spirit’s Saver$ Club, a paid yearly membership program, will receive even lower prices starting at just $29.

“We want to make it easier for our Guests to plan a vacation with loved ones in the new year or give the gift of travel this holiday season with this limited-time offer,” Lania Rittenhouse, the vice president of guest experience, brand and communications for Spirit Airlines, said in a statement shared with T+L. “Additionally, it’s a great time to look into the Spirit Saver$ Club for exclusive fare offers and savings on add-ons throughout the new year.”

Travel from Atlanta to Baltimore, from Austin to Fort Lauderdale, from Nashville to Philadelphia, from Boston to Myrtle Beach, from Denver to Las Vegas, and more starting at just $42 one-way. Or travel cross-country from Los Angeles to Philadelphia starting at just $95 one-way or from Miami all the way to Sin City starting at just $93 one-way.

Spirit is a low-cost airline and offers bare-bones tickets, charging for perks like baggage and seat selection, but customers who belong to the Saver$ Club receive discounts on those extras. Spirit also offers a status-matching program, which the airline introduced earlier this year, that gives travelers access to those same types of perks for a fee.

But fear not travelers who miss the sale since people can often save big with the airline by simply booking a ticket in person at the airport. That’s because Spirit waives its passenger usage fee for customers who book in person, which generally saves travelers around $23 per ticket each way.
