Spirit Airlines' First-ever Early Access Black Friday Sale Is Here — With Major Savings on Points, Hotels, and More

Spirit Airlines is celebrating Black Friday early with a series of deals offering everything from savings on hotels and vacations to discounts on airline points.

The company’s “Black & Yellow Friday Early Access deals,” which are available on the airline’s website, offer big savings on a variety of vacations and act as a teaser of what is to come on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Travel Tuesday, Spirit shared with Travel + Leisure.

“We want to give our Guests a head start on their holiday shopping, and the Black & Yellow Friday early access sale makes it easier to plan ahead and give the gift of travel to loved ones,” Lania Rittenhouse, the vice president of guest experience, brand and communications for Spirit Airlines, said in a statement provided to T+L. “Savvy travelers can take advantage of the offers and start planning vacations to our many destinations across the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean.”

To start, travelers can save 40 percent when they buy or gift at least 12,000 Free Spirit points, which can be used to book flights. The discounted points are available to purchase through 11:59 p.m. ET on Dec. 1.

Spirit is also offering deals on hotels and vacations, like up to 25 percent off a stay with MGM Resorts Las Vegas when booking with Spirit Vacations — the deal must be booked by Dec. 5. Or up to 35 percent off a 2-night or longer stay at Caesars Entertainment hotels in Atlantic City, Reno, or Lake Tahoe booked with Spirit Vacations. That deal must be booked by Feb. 29, 2024.

The carrier is also helping travelers earn more points when they book a cruise, offering up to 3,000 bonus points and one Free Spirit point per every $1 spent. The cruise must be booked by Nov. 28 to take advantage of the offer.

And travelers hitting the road can save up to 35 percent off an Avis or Budget car rental and earn 750 Free Spirit points when they book by Feb. 29.

Spirit isn’t the only company celebrating Black Friday early. Florida's Brightline train company and several luggage brands are holding sales ahead of the shopping holiday.
