A live-action Miles Morales movie is happening, but only after two more Spider-Man films.
That’s according to long-time Spider-Man franchise producer Amy Pascal, who revealed her plans to Variety at the 2024 Oscars Luncheon.
“Live-action Miles Morales is in the works,” said the interviewer. “Where we at?”
Pascal responded, “Not until we make two more movies.”
The first movie in question is Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is the final entry in the animated trilogy starring Peter Parker protégé Miles Morales. It doesn’t have a release date.
As for the second, Beyond the Spider-Verse producer Chris Miller says in a tweet it’s a live-action Tom Holland film. “To clarify, when she said “not until we make two more movies,” she meant Beyond the Spider-Verse and the live-action Tom Holland film.”
