'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Creators Confirm Animated Series Will End With Trilogy

Amidst the success of the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller recently shared information regarding the future of the Miles Morales animated series. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the duo revealed that the series will be ending with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Lord and Miller shared that they plan to finish the story of Miles Morales with a trilogy. Noting that the trilogy offers the opportunity for solid character arcs for the characters that they have established in the series. The duo also jokingly states that they were "exhausted" from making the series.

It is interesting to note that the reveal in the exclusive interview comes shortly after word of an upcoming live-action Miles Morales movie and animated Spider-Woman film.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is now in theaters and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be arriving March 29, 2024 to end the trilogy.
