Free women’s self-defense class coming to Spanish Fort

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — The Spanish Fort Police Department is holding a free event to teach women skills they need to defend themselves.

According to a Facebook post, the Women’s Self-Defense class is scheduled for May 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Spanish Fort Community Center.

Spanish Fort police officers will teach the course.

Women 18 and older can sign up by contacting either Lt. Steven Mooney or Officer Abby Tomasek by email (smooney@spanishfortal.gov and atomasek@spanishfortal.gov) or by phone (251-626-4914).
