A Southern City Is Set To Host The Super Bowl Next Year
Hint: Laissez les bons temps rouler!

The Kansas City Chiefs may have just won the Super Bowl, but you may want to start planning for next season. That’s because next year’s championship game will be played in the South.
It was just announced that Super Bowl 59 will take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The top teams in the league will take over the home field of the New Orleans Saints on February 9, 2025, USA Today reports.
The Caesars Superdome opened way back in 1975 and while it hasn’t hosted the Super Bowl since 2013, it has played host several times throughout its long history. In fact, if next year’s game goes as planned, Caesars Superdome will extend its record as the stadium that has hosted the most Super Bowls ever. Next year’s game will be the eighth time that football fans have flocked to New Orleans for the big game. Even the NFL knows that New Orleans knows how to throw a party! The only other stadium that is close to the record is another Southern institution, the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, which has put out the welcome mat six times, per USA Today.
Fans may not know which teams will be playing in Super Bowl 59, let alone who will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the match-up, but with New Orleans as host, fans are guaranteed a great time at the Big Game. Better start planning a trip—or at least planning a New Orleans-inspired Super Bowl snack spread.
