South Tampa taco restaurant earns Michelin award 3 months after opening
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A South Tampa taco earned a Michelin Bib Gourmands award just three months after it opened its doors.
The Michelin Guide released part of its Bib Gourmands selections on Thursday, giving a sneak peek of the newest awardees. A Bib Gourmands recognizes friendly establishments that serve good food at moderate prices.
Streetlight Taco on Henderson Boulevard was one of four Florida restaurants to earn the rating.

The taqueria opened in January and was added to the Florida Michelin Guide one month later. It was highlighted for a menu featuring tacos, tostadas, salsas, sides and more.
“Don’t skip the Sunday snack tostada, an equal parts sweet-and-savory delight with two blue corn tostadas layered with cream cheese with lump crab, diced sweet mango and a mango habanero sauce,” the guide said.
The guide also highlighted the taqueria’s Japanese eggplant taco with an heirloom bean puree and a chile onza salsa for having “just the right amount of kick.”
The full list of Bib Gourmands winners will be released on Thursday, April 18.
