SOS Pizza Candy Canes Exist And No One Is Safe
Archie McPhee has been making us question everything we thought we knew about candy canes for years now. Remember when it introduced pickle-flavored candy canes? Or how about the mac & cheese ones? Or even those rotisserie chicken candy canes? We have Archie McPhee to thank for all of them. The company has new flavors for the 2019 holiday season, and they are just as strange as we hoped.
The three new flavors are kale, ham, and pizza. We’ll give you a minute to let that sink in.
While we are just as curious as you are what ham-flavored and pizza-flavored candy canes taste like, we can’t get over the kale-flavored candy cane. How could this vegetable work as a sweet? The brand even jokes that it “gives you the flavor of kale with none of the dietary benefits.” Hey, we appreciate the honesty.
“No more pesky holiday flavors to worry about, just the bitter grassiness of your favorite vegetable,” the description says. “Talk about a superfood, kale is not only very nutritious but also incredibly delicious.”
The kale candy canes feature green and white stripes, the ham ones (dubbed "Hamdy Canes") have pink and white stripes, and the pizza ones have red and yellow stripes. We’re not saying you should give someone a ham-flavored candy cane and let them think it’s a regular candy cane, but …
