Sorry Spider-Man Fans, No Sneakers For You

The recently released movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse rewarded fans for their patience by exceeding expectations. Unfortunately for fans of the franchise, they will not have a fair shot at the sneakers shown in the animated movie.

Nike and Jordan Brand only released 73,000 pairs of the Air Jordan 1 'Next Chapter' - the sneakers worn by Miles Morales. Of course, the highly anticipated kicks sold out quickly and have a resale price of almost $300 on most websites.

To pour my salt into the wound of Spider-Man fans, the sneakers teased in the movie by the Prowler will be limited to 100 pairs. Below is what sneakerheads need to know about the incredibly rare kicks.

The Air Jordan 1 Stash Utility 'Prowler' will not release to the public. There are only 100 pairs produced for "friends and family" of Jordan Brand and Sony Pictures (the absolute corniest part of sneaker culture). However, there is an infinitesimal chance to win a pair.

SoleSavy hid pairs of the shoes around New York City and dropped clues on its Instagram stories earlier this weekend. Fans outside New York City will most likely be stuck paying exorbitant resale prices.

Shout-out to Sole Savy for the images and for giving fans some hope. But hopefully, Nike and Jordan Brand do not create an artificial scarcity around the sneakers released around the next Spider-Man movie.
