Everyone knew that NCIS season 18 was going to be shorter, but it seems like the CBS procedural is always on a break!

It’s normal for TV shows to have lulls in between episodes, but the hiatuses have been particularly frequent for many series this year. That will be the case for NCIS tonight, too, as CBS has another rerun planned for its usual time slot. In fact, NCIS won’t air a new episode until March 2, 2021.

It’s likely due to complications with filming during the coronavirus pandemic, which has been common across the board. Whatever it takes to keep the actors and crew safe is worth it, though! Plus it’s not like you’ll see us complaining about re-watching NCIS—every episode is action-packed. And we could use some time to get over the latest death anyways...

On February 16, the audience will catch season 18, episode 2, “Everything Starts Somewhere.” You might remember it as a fun throwback to when Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Ducky (David McCallum) first crossed paths. Love to watch these two together!

Then on February 23, it’s a repeat of “Blood and Treasure.” It digs deeper into Gibbs and Fornell’s (Joe Spano) search for the opioid kingpin who was at the center of much of the drama this year, including McGee’s shooting.

But everyone mark their calendars for March 2: That’s when season 18, episode 8 “True Believer” premieres, and many think this is going to be where Maria Bello’s character, Sloane, says goodbye. Bring some tissues just in case!

Even though you have to get through the next few weeks, NCIS will surely make it worth the wait. In the meantime, share your favorite moment from this season in the comments below.
