Sophie Turner Wore the Best Revenge Top to Dinner with Taylor Swift for Her First Post-Breakup Outing

I just know they listened to “Mr. Perfectly Fine” on the way there.

Taylor Swift knows better than anyone that nothing gets you through a breakup quite like quality girl time (just ask any of the famous friends she’s been spotted out with since splitting from Joe Alwyn back in April). But a girls' night with someone who also got their heart broken by the exact same man at one point (see: Joe Jonas)? Now that’s a different kind of healing — and one that accompanied Sophie Turner’s first post-divorce outing last night.

On Tuesday, Swift introduced Turner, who split from Jonas earlier this month after four years of marriage, to everyone’s favorite therapy dupe: girl talk over dinner and drinks. During the New York City outing, the Game of Thrones actress took inspiration from Swift’s song “Vigilante Shit” by dressing for revenge in a plunging glittery gray halter crop top paired with low-waisted gray trousers and a black sweater, which she tied around her waist. A black leather shoulder bag, gold jewelry, and simple white sneakers accessorized Sophie’s ‘fit, and she rounded out her look by tying her blonde hair up into a high ponytail.

For her part, Taylor embodied a very different vibe by sporting a fall-ready blood-orange T-shirt dress layered under an EB Denim knee-length jean jacket. The singer added brown knee-high boots, layers of necklaces, and an emerald green handbag to the look, and she wore her hair pulled up into a bun.

Swift and Turner’s outing comes less than a month after Jonas officially filed for divorce from the actress, claiming that their marriage was “irretrievably broken,” according to court documents obtained by People.

Shortly after news was announced of their separation, both Joe and Sophie (who share two children together) posted a joint statement on their Instagram pages confirming the split and insisting that it was a “mutual decision.”

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the statement read. “There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
