Sophie Turner Photographed and Chased Down Paparazzi While on a Beach Trip

Only a few weeks remain until the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones, and Sansa Stark herself, Sophie Turner, is on vacation with her fiancé Joe Jonas, his brothers, and Nick’s wife Priyanka Chopra before the GoT madness begins once more.

The Jonas fam has been relaxing and dancing on boats to Kacey Musgraves, which is what you’re required to do on a trip to Miami, but Sophie has also been spending some time expertly trolling the paparazzi who’ve been swarming around her family.

Sophie documented her anti-paparazzi crusade on her Instagram Stories, writing that she was “Turning the tables on the paps.” She’s seen following them with her giant zoom camera on the beach, running through a crowd of sunbathers in pursuit of her target and even having a mini-photoshoot with one cameraman. If Sophie decides to take a break from acting post-Game of Thrones, it looks like she’d do just fine as a photographer; that camera looks heavy AF and she’s running with it like it’s no big deal.

Sophie and Joe have gone up against the paparazzi before; in 2017, they decided to show off their martial arts skills while being photographed, and they’ve also stared spookily into the camera lens to deter photographers from taking their pic while out for lunch.

While their trolling is expert-level and super funny, it’s also a reminder that celebrities are often constantly surrounded by photographers, and that the paparazzi are a real (and probably annoying!) part of their day-to-day. How Sophie and Joe choose to deal with the near-constant surveillance of their lives is their choice, and we have to commend them for keeping things light while still making a point about the photogs.
