Sophie Turner Opens Up About Her “Worst Fashion Choice”

When you’re as stylish as Sophie Turner, it’s hard to imagine ever having a bad outfit day. She even makes socks with sandals look glamorous, folks! But it turns out that, like so many of us, the Game of Thrones star has experienced outfit remorse, and she recently opened up in detail about a look she’ll “forever regret.”

In a video for Elle UK’s “It’s a Mood” YouTube series, Sophie described the outfit she wore to Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s wedding as one of her “worst looks” of all time. To refresh your memory, Sophie donned a fire engine red Louis Vuitton blazer dress, which she paired with a black-and-white checkered bag and thigh-high black boots. Her outfit was perfectly coordinated with BFF Maisie Williams, who also showed up in a red and black combo.

During her video appearance, Sophie explained that she had a “fashion emergency” ahead of Kit and Rose’s nuptials. “Both of my really classy dresses that I picked out did not fit me, because they had arrived the day of the wedding, and I hadn’t had a chance to try them on, and they didn’t fit me,” she recounted. She went on to explain that, in addition to the dress, she wasn’t a huge fan of her boots. “It was either like the thigh-high boots or these nice heels,” Sophie added. “But I felt like, well if I just wear the heels then all of my leg is showing…it was a disaster. Just, worst fashion choice.”

TBQH, we wouldn’t go that far, and we still think Sophie looked gorgeous that day. But the feeling of “I wish I wore something different” is also very real, and we’ve all been there.

Sophie also addressed another headline-grabbing outfit during her interview with Elle UK, spilling about the Alexandre Vauthier dress she wore to Joe Jonas’s birthday party — the same gown that Taylor Swift rocked a few years prior. “I know that Taylor Swift wore it before to an event and she looked much better in it than I did,” Sophie said in the video (though we’d argue they both looked fabulous). But it seems like there’s no ~bad blood~ here: “It was amazing,” Sophie added. “I wanted to be a Bond girl for the night. It was a proper dress-up night. It was a lot of fun.”
