Sophie Turner Is Not Blonde Anymore
The blonde hair Sophie Turner has been sporting since Game of Thrones wrapped is now officially a thing of the past. The actor is now throwing it back to her GoT days with a new hair color – just in time for summer.
As noted by Just Jared on June 6, the star debuted a fresh new hue at a baseball game with her husband Joe Jonas. It appears Sophie is channeling her inner Sansa Stark once again with a classic red shade. Sophie debuted her new shade with a pair of '90s-meets-'60s mod-style white sunglasses, a few rings, and a face mask.
Later that day, Sophie also shared a pic of her fresh color to her Instagram Stories and showed off her Olivia Rodrigo fandom at the same time, donning a Sour album crop tee in the snap. Sophie's exact tee is currently out of stock on Olivia's website but there are lots of similar pieces in her official merch shop so you can publicly share your love for Sour like Sophie.
Sophie has flip-flopped between pale blonde and red for a few years. In 2016, she went full-on platinum and has gone back and forth several times since, mostly for roles. In 2018, she even admitted the process of going from red to pale blonde had "destroyed" her hair. "It wasn’t my red dye that I used for Game of Thrones that ruined my hair," she said, "it was for another job that I had my hair dyed blonde for." Most recently, Sophie showed off freshly cut blunt bangs on Instagram. While many people often go blonde for summer, we love seeing Sophie flip the trend and, in true Sophie style, do her own thing with her color and her look.
