Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Were a Sharply-Dressed Couple En Route to the 2019 MTV VMAs
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas went for a polished look at their first major award show since their French wedding. The couple stepped out ahead of the MTV VMAs red carpet, both wearing neutrals. The two held hands as they left Soho to head to the Newark, New Jersey award show. Turner was in a white dress with a black belt, while Jonas wore a grey suit.
Interestingly, Turner did not walk the red carpet. Jonas just walked with his brothers.
The Jonas Brothers are up for several big MTV VMA awards tonight, and they performed during the ceremony...though not live. The boys pre-taped their performance yesterday in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the Associated Press reported. They performed "Sucker" at the Stone Pony bar there and then on the boardwalk, sang "several songs in a mini concert."
The Jonas Brothers last performed in Toronto on their Happiness Begins tour on Saturday. They're set to perform in Buffalo, New York tomorrow before heading back south to do two shows in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Thursday and Friday.
The Jonas Brothers are nominated for Video of the Year ("Sucker"), Artist of the Year, Song of the Year ("Sucker"), and Best Pop Song of the Year ("Sucker").
Turner and Jonas' last red carpet together was in June at the premiere of Turner's film Dark Phoenix:
The couple recently celebrated Jonas' 30th birthday in New York City. He had a James Bond party that Turner threw for him. "Thank you babe for throwing me the most epic bond themed 30th birthday 🎂😎," he wrote on Instagram. "Here’s a few pictures before the 🍸."
