Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Got Matching Tattoos in Honor of Their Dog Waldo

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas's dog Waldo passed away in a "freak accident" last Wednesday, July 24, according to TMZ.

Per the outlet, the incident happened on the Lower East Side of Manhattan: While out on a leash with Turner and Jonas's dog walker, Waldo became "spooked" by a pedestrian, fled into the street, and was struck by a car. Jonas's rep confirmed to TMZ that this was, indeed, a "freak accident."

The couple paid tribute to Waldo on Instagram last night, July 30, by posting photos of the matching tattoos they had done in the dog's likeness. "I miss you, Waldo. Rest in peace, my little baby," Turner wrote alongside her pic. Meanwhile, Jonas accompanied his post with the caption, "R.I.P., my little angel."

Check out the tattoos for yourself, below. TMZ reports that Waldo was an Alaskan Klee Kai.

This isn't the first time Turner and Jonas have received coordinating tattoos. Last July they each had ink done in honor of their grandfathers. Jonas opted for postage-stamp-style ink, captioning it, "For PaPa Miller," while Turner's tattoo was more subtle. "For my granddad. My hero," she wrote on social.

Turner and Jonas have another Alaskan Klee Kai named Porky. In December 2018, Jonas opened up to Today about their decision to adopt the two dogs. “We got Porky and it was kind of a mistake because the name came from her wanting a Pomsky," Jonas said. "And I misheard what she said, so I thought she was saying that's the name of the dog she wanted."

He continued, “I'm usually on the move quite a bit, even when I'm home, I wanna be doing a lot of stuff. But it's nice when you have a dog where you know you gotta take 'em for a walk, you gotta spend some time and play with 'em, and it keeps you nice and relaxed.”
