Sophie Turner Celebrated Turning 22 With Joe Jonas’s Ex Taylor Swift’s Music
Sophie Turner officially turned 22 on Wednesday (February 21) and naturally celebrated with a day of fun and friends. The Games of Thrones star used her Instagram Stories to keep fans updated on the birthday happenings, and one moment, in particular, has social media applauding.
People pointed out that during the festivities, Sophie rocked out with a nod to another celebrity who knows a thing or two about turning 22 — Taylor Swift. In between posing with balloons and dancing with friends, the star took a moment to sing along with Taylor's song "22". The track was definitely fitting of the momentous birthday occasion, but fans were particularly inspired by Sophie's decision to "jam out" to a song written by someone that her fiancé Joe Jonas used to date back in the day.
In the short clip on her Instagram Stories, Sophie totally embraces her inner pop star, even busting a few dance moves, as she dances along to the feel good track. The recently engaged celeb also included a baby picture and captioned it with lyrics from the songwriting: "I dunno about you but I'm feelin 22."
People on social media have commended the actor for her choice of song, calling it "iconic" and their "new favorite thing." Not everyone is supportive of the decision, though. One user questioned whether anyone else found the moment "awkward."
This isn't the first time that Sophie has shared her appreciation for Taylor. She previously defended the singer's inclusion in Time Magazine's feature on "silence breakers." So regardless of how social media may feel on the birthday singing, it's clear that there's no "Bad Blood" between these two talented stars.
