Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Rewore Her Coronation Dress to a State Banquet

Tonight, the British royal family were out in force for a state banquet in honor of President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea. Among them was Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who attended the event in a familiar formal look.

For the evening, Sophie opted to rewear the white Suzannah London gown that she first donned earlier this year for the coronation of her brother-in-law, King Charles, at Westminster Abbey. The flowing white dress included a lace applique at the collar, and while the royal chose to wear it with a floral headpiece for the coronation (on that day, the "less formal" dress code meant that all of the royal women eschewed tiaras), tonight she instead swapped in a glittering aquamarine tiara. In fact, the topper is such a favorite of Sophie's that it's become known as the Wessex Aquamarine tiara—so named for her former title of Countess of Wessex. She paired the piece with an aquamarine necklace and a silver clutch.

Earlier today, Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed the president and first lady at their hotel before traveling with them to an official ceremonial welcome by King Charles and Queen Camilla. The party shared a private lunch at Buckingham Palace, then participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Korean War Memorial, to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the war and also laid a wreath on the Grave of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey. The president and First Lady Kim Keon Hee are in the UK for a three-day state visit.
