Soobin of TXT Chatting With His Idol Bebe Rexha Is the Cutest Thing

Not many of us get to meet our idols, but that, of course, changes when you’re Soobin of TXT.

On April 7, the five members of TXT were joined by Bebe Rexha for a special Instagram Live Q&A. The boys streamed live from Seoul, South Korea, and Bebe joined from L.A. — after, ehm, trying for a bit to connect. In the live stream, Bebe caught up with TXT to discuss the ways they were connecting with fans while social distancing and talk all things music.

From the get-go, the quintet taught Bebe how to do their trademark intro and took the chance to chat with the “Me, Myself & I” singer about their careers while answering fan questions. Bebe also played the five-member act, who were joined by a live interpreter behind the scenes, a new, unreleased song called “Sabotage.”

The boys discussed their upcoming album, Korean food, and even asked Bebe about her experience writing “Lucifer” for SHINee, but, as expected, all eyes were on Soobin.

Since their debut, the quintet — and more specifically Soobin — has often name-checked Bebe as one of their favorite artists and dream collaborators in interviews and press junkets. And, well, his number one fan status shined so brightly in the live stream.

From cute blushing moments to adorable interactions, it was clear how much this stream meant to TXT’s leader. “Do you have any plans to come to Korea soon?” Soobin asked Bebe at one point. “I could come to Korea if we do a song together,” she replied, sending him into a "404 error Soobin Not found" moment. It was a moment that was only surpassed by Bebe’s “I love you, Soobin” as she left the chat.

“You guys I just met the TXT boys and they are so awesome, they are so sweet,” Bebe said in her IG stories and Twitter when the live stream ended. Clearly, the affection between TXT and Bebe is now officially mutual. “I played them a new song of mine and they loved it. It was awesome. Today was an awesome day.”

Suffice to say, we think Soobin agrees, and he also took to Twitter to reflect on what seemed like a pretty big moment for him. The five members posted sweet thank you messages for Bebe as a group, but Soobin also left an individual one where he revealed that nerves got the best of him during the stream. “It was really great to go live with you today on Instagram!!! We enjoyed it so much!” Soobin wrote afterward.

He continued, “I was so nervous and didn't get to ask all the questions I originally wanted to, but here is one that we really wanted to ask…I really really love some of your unreleased tracks like ‘Cry Wolf’ ‘Kill Me Back To Life’ and ‘Human.’ Do you have any plans to release these songs in the future...?”

We’re hoping Bebe will get back to him as soon as possible so we can find out the answers to his deep-cut questions. And in case you missed all the bonding, Bebe made sure to upload the whole stream to her YouTube. You can watch the whole glorious thing below:
