Sonic Has New Wine-Inspired Slushies, And Yes, We'll Be Adding Our Own Booze
I think we can all agree the best thing that could happen to Sonic’s menu would be if one day they decided to add booze. Come on. An ice cold beer or refreshing cocktail to sip alongside your tater tots? Yes, please!
While that likely isn’t happening anytime soon, possibly the next best thing is. They are adding wine-inspired slushies to the menu. Perfectly named Uncorked Slushes, the frozen treats come in three different flavors. The strawberry frosé has real strawberries and “refreshing notes of authentic rosé wine flavor,” according to a press release. The red berry sangria layers the flavor of red berry sangria with strawberries. And the peach bellini features notes of white wine with a sweet peach flavor.
While it’s unclear how you can get the flavor of rosé or white wine in a slushie without actually using booze, we fully endorse pouring in your own alcohol (once safely at home, of course).
“The new Uncorked Slushes offer the perfect union between Slush and wine-inspired flavors,” Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for SONIC, said in the release: “Our culinary team is always looking for flavors that pair perfectly with the season, and the Uncorked Slushes will allow our guests to soak up every last moment of summer with each relaxing sip.”
The Uncorked Slushes are available starting August 30 until September 26 while supplies last. You can order one during “Happy Hour” from the app or online to get them half off. It’s the perfect sipper for the last unofficial weekend of summer coming oh-so-soon.
