Would you and your partner take a spin through the Sonic drive-thru on Valentine’s Day? We’re pretty sure Reba McEntire would.

With less than a week remaining until the day of love, the fast-food restaurant chain has announced that it’s partnering with the “Queen of Country” this year to bring a new menu option to the table: Reba’s Sweetheart Meal. The partnership isn’t all that surprising, given how McEntire identified Sonic’s #1 cheeseburger last year as her death row meal of choice.

The special meal will be available to Sonic customers starting Monday, Feb. 12, at participating restaurants. It will remain on offer through Sunday, March 3. Reba’s Sweetheart Meal includes McEntire’s go-to order: a Sonic cheeseburger with everything on it, a side order of Tots and a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shake.

Like the McEntire-inspired meal, the shake is brand new. In a Feb. 8 press release announcing its special holiday menu additions, Sonic described the new “indulgent” treat as including “real strawberries and rich chocolate flakes hand-mixed into sweet, vanilla soft serve and topped with a decadent, chocolate whipped topping, more chocolate flakes, and a cherry.”

For McEntire, her love story with her boyfriend, Rex Linn, ties into part of her Sonic order. When the two began spending time together in 2020, Rex learned that McEntire has a “love” for tots, and “especially” the ones available at Sonic, according to the press release.

“That started my nickname, 'Tater Tot,’” McEntire said. “My little sister, Susie, gave Rex the name 'Sugar Tot.' So now, we’re The Tots! Sugar and Tater.”

This is turning into a big week for the “Fancy” singer, who participated in a Super Bowl Halftime Show press conference the same day that her special Sonic meal was announced. McEntire will be singing the national anthem at Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11, marking her first time performing at the NFL’s biggest event of the year.

Post Malone and Andra Day are also scheduled to perform this weekend during the Super Bowl’s pregame festivities. Usher will be headlining at this year’s Halftime Show.
