Sonic Is Now Selling Jumbo Popcorn Chicken You Can Get Tossed In Buffalo Or BBQ Sauce
It's no secret that Sonic is king of doing cool fast food combos. (Remember how awesome it was when Chili Cheese Tots launched?!) Now, the chain is here with two new popcorn chicken dishes, and it’s hard to decide which to try first.
Sonic just rolled out new Sauced Jumbo Popcorn Chicken, with the option to choose between honey BBQ and buffalo sauces. The news comes courtesy of Chewboom, and we also spotted it on a Facebook post from a Sonic in Coweta, OK, and a few other Sonic locations around the country.
There aren’t a ton of details on these new dishes right now, but we know that they’re made with 100% all white meat chicken and are basically your standard Jumbo Popcorn Chicken smothered in sauce. In case you’re not familiar with Jumbo Popcorn Chicken, it’s basically a cooler form of a chicken nugget, and it usually comes with your choice of dipping sauce (buttermilk ranch, honey mustard, or hickory BBQ). But when they come sauced...they kind of become a boneless wing.
With the Sauced Jumbo Popcorn Chicken, you can forget the whole opening up a sauce package and having to dip each individual piece of popcorn chicken—Sonic saves you a step, and it’s pure genius.
Sauced Jumbo Popcorn Chicken hasn’t made the official Sonic menu online yet, so it’s hard to tell if it’s going to be rolled out at all Sonic locations or just in select spots.
