SONIC’s New Lemonberry Slush Float Combines Frozen Lemonade, Ice Cream, and Strawberries

The bad news? SONIC Drive-In is no longer releasing the Red, White & Blue Slush Float this summer. The good news? The fast-food spot is adding the Lemonberry Slush Float to the menu for a limited time.

The new sippable and spoonable frozen treat has three distinct layers with very different flavors. It starts with a Frozen Lemonade Slush at the bottom, followed by real vanilla ice cream in the middle, and finished with real strawberries on top. When you bring all three together, you’re left with a perfectly summer-approved treat.

The limited-edition Lemonberry Slush Float will officially be available from July 8 to Aug. 2, so you don’t have a lot of time to indulge. A medium size will cost about $2.99, which isn’t bad considering all of the layers involved in the refreshing sip.

The new float joins a slew of other summertime offerings from SONIC. While you’re placing an order anyway, you can also get a Red Bull Summer Edition Watermelon Slush, Brownie Batter Shake, Yellow Cake Batter Shake, and soon-to-be-released Toasted S’mores Shake. The food menu is also getting a new item with the Chicken Slinger. It was tested in select markets at the end of last year, and is now available nationwide. The crispy chicken sandwich is built with a brioche bun, mayo, and pickles. You can even get it in a spicy version that is made with SONIC’s Spicy Ranch.

Although we haven’t tried SONIC’s newest frozen treat yet, we couldn’t imagine it not being good. After all, can you get more summery than lemonade, ice cream, and strawberries?
