If you thought “mystery meat” was reserved for just school cafeterias, think again. An anonymous Facebook user is blurring the lines between vegetarian and meat products by switching the labels on their packaging. The prankster posted their exploits on Facebook, and people are up in arms.

The screenshot was captioned, “Absolute legend.” But if the thousands of anger-filled responses are any indication, the internet isn’t celebrating the stealthy supermarket shopper. The original post, which was a photo of a Tesco Vegetable Lasagne alongside a Beef Lasagne, was captioned “Some mornings I like to pop in to Tesco & switch the cardboard sleeves around on these just for fun.”

Lee Grace, an admin for the Facebook page, told INSIDER that he knows the original poster personally, and that the viral post was meant more as satire than an actual prank. Grace told the outlet there are “glaringly obvious dangers that people run the risk of when major and non-major food outlets alike choose to use similar packaging and ingredient cards across their food lines.”

But many felt there was a far safer way to shed light on the issue, without lifting labels. One user wrote, “This is awful, you could kill someone with allergies? My friend is allergic to enzymes in meat. This is genuinely sickening 😷,” while another pointed out, “Yeah…don’t do this people. It can make people seriously ill and also get the company in a load of trouble.”

Still, one user said the incident does speak to valid concerns, adding, “packaging on food should be more secure so it can’t be changed easily incase of allergies and use by dates.”

A spokesperson for Tesco told The Sun, “We are aware of this Facebook post and are monitoring the situation.” Until this vegetarian vigilante has been brought to justice, it might be safer to stick to home-cooked recipes.
