Someone Is Definitely Going to Die in Season 3 of 'Black Summer'

After watching Army of the Dead, or maybe your most recent rewatch of The Walking Dead, you may be going through zombie withdrawal. But fear not, Netflix's Black Summer is back to give you all the living dead you could ask for.
The show follows Rose (Jaime King), a mother who joins a group of fellow survivors while searching for her daughter Anna (Zoe Marlett). It's from the same production company that created Z Nation, a zombie show that premiered on Syfy.
Black Summer from the beginning has death as a constant threat. Whether it's zombies, soldiers, or each other, Rose and her companions have to contend with a difficult world, a world where anyone, even main characters can die. And what's a zombie show without blood and guts?
In season 2, reunited with her daughter, Rose and the others work to get to an airstrip that could be a key to survival. The newest season dropped on June 17, and once you're finished binging, you're probably wondering when the next season is coming. See below for information on Black Summer Season 3.
Will there be a season 3 of Black Summer?
As of now, a third season of Black Summer has not been confirmed. But with season 2's cliffhanger, there's still more to explore. If the show is renewed, viewers could see a new season sometime in 2022 or 2023.
What will season 3 be about?
Of the four main characters, only three survived through the season. Spears (Justin Chu Cary) is left to die in a ditch, but manages to pick himself back up. Then, Anna euthanizes him in the lodge where she and Rose are sheltering.
Kyungsun manages to get on an airplane, but Anna and Rose don't. Rose is heavily injured after an explosion and is once more separated from her daughter. She's also still squaring off against Ray (Bobby Naderi). Presumably, season 3 will pick up from there, following the main characters as they attempt to regroup, or at least last long enough to find help.
Who will be cast in season 3?
If Black Summer gets the green light, the actresses for Rose, Anna and Kyungsun (Christine Lee) should all return. Plus, Ray still seem to be stuck in the woods with Anna and Rose, so Bob Naderi should also come back.
With the death of Spears and other characters introduced in the season, expect a number of fresh faces in season 3. And a lot more death.
