Solitude's New Bike Park Could Enter Closing Weekend With Fresh Snow

In a seasonally confused twist of fate, Solitude Mountain, Utah's bike park (which was recently revamped), could enter its closing weekend with a dusting of fresh snow.

In an Instagram post shared earlier this week, October 4th, Solitude announced the upcoming conclusion of summer operations alongside showing off the resort's flowing bike trails.

From the caption:

"It's the final weekend of summer fun. Join us Friday through Sunday for the closing weekend of Solitude Bike Park and the Adventure Park. Sunrise, Link, and Moonbeam Express will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Enjoy peak leaf-peeping season with a scenic chair ride. After October 8, there will be no bike trail access as preparation for winter continues."

But where's the snow? Up high.

Solitude's Honeycomb Canyon webcam showcases the early-winter conditions.

Here's a peek at the fresh snowfall which arrived earlier this week.

As for the odds that the snow sticks around until the weekend, I'd give it fifty-fifty at best. Warmer temperatures are headed to Solitude in the coming days, with the sun making a prominent appearance.

Winter is coming. Get those last bike laps in while you can!
