This Sold Out Book Is Making Waves In The Snowboard Community and Beyond

New York Times Best Selling Author Eric Blehm recently wrote and published a book called "The Darkest White" about a mountain legend, Craig Kelly, and the avalanche that took him.

On January 20, 2003, a deafening crack shattered the silence as a massive avalanche, 100 feet wide, thundered down the Northern Selkirk Mountains in British Columbia, Canada. The Durrand Glacier Avalanche buried over a dozen skiers and snowboarders under tons of solid ice and snow, sparking a daring search and rescue operation, one of which was the legendary Craig Kelly.

"The Darkest White" is a book that chronicles Craig Kelly’s life, a poignant yet remarkable journey of a self-reliant youth whose athletic talents and innovations dramatically altered snowboarding as a whole. His adventures took him worldwide, pushing him into increasingly extreme environments that ultimately claimed his life. The book also provides an immersive look at snowboarding and its cultural explosion, while offering a captivating and cautionary tale of mountains and their power.
