These Sol De Janeiro Bum Bum cream swaps smell like paradise and are *waay* cheaper than the OG
Despite supplying us with a ton of swaps for the best perfumes, it's Sol De Janeiro's turn for the dupe treatment, as TikTok claims these budget lotions are Brazilian Bum Bum cream dupes.
The cult favorite body cream has beauty lovers everywhere in a chokehold thanks to its sunny pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla scent—which literally smells like an eternal vacation—and its skin-loving ingredients. However, the lotion's $48 price point is rather less tempting.
While you can of course settle for the mini size (which will cost you $22), there are actually a few other alternatives that are sooo much cheaper but equally as yummy...
The best Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum dupes
As mentioned Sol De Janeiro itself, actually offers some budget alternatives for some of our fave 'Quiet Luxury' scents—like the Baccarat 540 dupe and the brand's latest spray After Hours spray, which is said to be a swap for Viktor&Rolf's Flowerbomb and also bares resemblance to YSL's Black Opium.
Their perfume mists are priced at $24, but their TikTok beloved cream is a tad pricier...

The Brazilian Bum Bum cream itself works to tighten pores, combat dullness and boost the skin's elasticity while leaving your skin smelling like a day at the beach. The lotion truly smells good enough to eat (but please don't) but costs nearly 50 bucks for the full-size tub.
Don't despair though, as TikTok has named Tree Hut's Tropic Glow Firming Whipped Body Butter as a very close imitation but for around $37 less. While being a tad thicker consistency-wise, shoppers say its scent (of shea, almond, golden amber and Australian Sandalwood) is close a match for the Bum Bum cream.
Another alternative is the Nutrius Brazilian Body Butter Cream, with its nourishing blend of coconut and acai oil. One shopper even went as far as to call it the 'best' body butter they've ever used, adding: "This butter melts right into your skin and does not leave greasy residue. Smells wonderful too!!!"
A second buyer also noted that it doesn't smell exactly like the Bum Bum cream, but is still a great dupe and "excellent value."
So, if you're looking for a new, beachy body cream to add to your skincare product order, these are definitely two affordable, sweet-smelling options. Plus, these creams are perfect for perfume layering!
