Sofia Vergara Looks Radiant in Throwback Picture From the '80s

The actress posted a photo on social media from when she was 14 years old.

Sofia Vergara was clearly feeling nostalgia for her younger years when she shared a major throwback photo on Instagram.

The 50-year-old posted a picture of herself when she was just a teenager, wearing elaborate earrings and a little makeup, posing while looking off to the side.

Vergara shared a little background of the photo in the caption, but not much, simply writing, "#tbt barranquilla #the80’s ❤️❤️#14yrs."

Based on that, it's likely that the photo was taken in Barranquilla, Colombia, where she grew up, when she was 14 years old. The actress was born in 1972, so this was likely shot sometime in 1986. Vergara began modeling and acting at a very young age, so it's possible that this was an early job.

Either way, one thing is for certain: Vergara looks exactly the same now. Comparing the throwback photo to Vergara today, not much has changed, and she still looks beautiful and youthful.

Many of her social media followers had similar thoughts, with one commenting, "Still the same ❤️."

"Adorable to gorgeous ❤️" said another.

One person was simply amazed that Vergara still had such an old photo, writing, "This photo must be 30 years old!"

Vergara first started gaining attention for her on-screen talent at the age of 22 after she moved to Miami, Florida.

She told Variety of her struggles finding a manager, "I was very young when I signed my first contract, and I did it myself. I needed a manager, and that didn’t exist for a Latina personality. It existed for Latina musicians, but not on TV.”

But Vergara persevered, and thanks to her success with Modern Family and other projects, Forbes listed her as the highest-paid female actor in the world for seven years.

Still, the 50-year-old is proud of her past and growing up in Colombia, and she often shares bits and pieces with her fans, including throwback photos like this.
