Sofia Vergara Hosted a Wine-Filled Modern Family Reunion With All but One of Her TV Relatives

Well, this is just delightful. Sofia Vergara hosted a little reunion for America's favorite extended family. I'm talking, of course, about the cast of TV's Modern Family, who all (minus one) got together for a “nearly perfect” gathering.

Group photos posted to Instagram show nearly the full cast, including Sofia Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Rico Rodriguez, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. The only person missing was Ty Burrell, who played Phil Dunphy on the show, but he was there in spirit, in the form a framed photograph the rest of the cast posed with in the group shots. At one point, according to another of Vergara's posts, they propped the photo on the fireplace mantel and shouted at it. “We miss u Ty!!❤️❤️❤️,” she captioned the vid.

“Nearly perfect @modernfamily reunion. We even had our two dads Chris Lloyd & Steve Levitan there!” Tyler Ferguson captioned his Instagram post, referring to the show's original creators. Levitan wrote in his own post, “It was so nice to see this group after so long. It’s been three and a half years since we shot the last show, but we’ll always be family.”

Stonestreet, who also posted to Instagram, explained Burrell's absence. “For 11 years we would take family pictures for Modern Family and without missing one ever, I would always say, ‘now let’s do one without Ty,’” Stonestreet wrote in his caption. “Last night Ty couldn’t make it to our little impromptu reunion, so I had to bring his favorite picture of Phil so we could ‘do one without Ty.’”

Wrote Sofia Vergara in yet another post from the night, “So lucky to have worked with this people for 11 years❤️. I love and miss u all guys!!!”

Ya gotta love family, right?
